The famous country house at Mount Edgcumbe is close by. The Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are within 30 miles. Plymouth with its excellent shopping and leisure facilities (cinema, theatres, bowling and ice skating) is half an hour away. The Barbican, the National Marine Aquarium and Plymouth Hoe are well worth visiting.
