The garden is enclosed and has tables and seating on the lawn as well as a barbecue, parasols, a Wendy house and trampoline.Famous for its pier, beach huts and working lighthouse, Southwold, a charming north Suffolk seaside town on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, has a delightful high street with a range of traditional shops, galleries, restaurants and pubs selling the locally brewed Adnams Ale. A trip across the River Blyth by foot ferry to explore the picturesque village of Walberswick, returning by the footbridge, makes for a pleasant day trip. For an alternative day out, Aldeburgh makes for an interesting visit. Although best known for its annual arts festival (the brainchild of Benjamin Britten, which takes place in June and November), many other events are held throughout the year including the Easter Music Festival and the Proms season in August. A little further inland lies Framlingham and Orford, both with castles and picturesque villages. Also Thorpeness Mere and boating lake, the RSPB nature reserve at Minsmere and a just little further south Woodbridge, a beautiful historic market town situated on the River Deben, are all worth a visit. For golfers there are numerous excellent courses in the area, including Southwold. The town also offers tennis courts and sailing facilities.
