Set amidst 16-acre secluded grounds Ideal family accommodation
Occupying a secluded valley position within the 16-acre grounds of Chambercombe Manor, the four properties offered here have all been comfortably furnished to make ideal family accommodation. Dating from 1066, the small manor house, and its many unique features, is open to the public for part of each year - guests to Chambercombe Manor can enjoy its lovely gardens, woodland walks and ponds. This area is perhaps best known for its spectacular coastline, stunning scenery and superb beaches: Woolacombe and Croyde Bay are both renowned for their sandy beaches. Just an easy drive away is picturesque Lynton and Lynmouth, and Exmoor - where red deer and native ponies add to the abundant wildlife. Ilfracombe itself offers visitors a variety of activities, and there is a small beach to bathe from and a pretty harbour, whilst in Barnstaple there are restaurants and a leisure centre. Golf, fishing, sailing and riding area are all locally available. There are countless places of interest such as Exmoor Bird Gardens and Zoological Park, Arlington Court (NT), Watermouth Castle and Marwood Gardens. Boat trips to Lundy Island available where all manner of birdlife can be seen, as well as other wildlife such as seals and deer. Shop 1 mile. N.B. Please be aware that Chambercombe Manor is open to the public and there are facilities available to service this requirement including a tearoom, public conveniences and car park.
