Refurbished to a very comfortable standard, it offers spacious accommodation and is ideal for large parties or families wishing to holiday together. This a region steeped in legends of King Arthur, with the mystical ruins of a 12th-century castle at Tintagel and the historic coastal village of Boscastle each easily accessible. The bustling resort of Bude lies just 2 miles distant, with its sandy surfing beach, golf course, indoor `Splash' pool and seawater fed outdoor pool, as well as a host of traditional seaside attractions. Water sports enthusiasts will find some of the best surfing waters in Europe close by, while the golden sands at Widemouth Bay and Crackington Haven (with its rock pools) are ideal for a fun family day out. Walkers too are well catered for; gentle strolls can be enjoyed along the towpath of Bude's canal, which with its bird hide attracts all manner of wildlife, while more exhilarating walks can be taken along the stunning coastline. The picture-postcard village of Clovelly, with its winding cobbled streets and quaint fishing harbour, is also a pleasure to visit further north. The Eden Project is also within a short drive; a major attraction, the site promotes the symbiotic relationship between people, plants and natural resources, with three geodesic domes housing plants from around the world.
