Perfectly situated within the heart of the stunning Peak District National Park, Hall Farm Cottages command views over the Manifold Valley. This region is overflowing with stately homes, gardens and places of interest to visit, with glorious scenery from the rugged and wild Dovedale to the craggy, tree-lined slopes of the Derwent Valley. Explore, Ashbourne, Leek, Buxton, Bakewell, Matlock and also the potteries of Staffordshire. Within easy reach there are many activities on offer such as sailing (Carsington Reservoir, cycling (Manifold Valley, High Peak and Tissington trails), hang gliding (Wetton Hill - just behind the cottages) or simply walking in the many beautiful dales close by. Local attractions include, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall, Sudbury Hall with childhood museum, American Adventure, Alton Towers and Gullivers Kingdom theme parks. Good walking from the doorstep. Situated on a non-working farm at the edge of the village of Wetton, Thors, Manifold and Grindon (on one level) are all barn conversions. Children (and adults) will be kept amused for hours by the superb facilities on site, including a games barn with pool/snooker table, children's snooker table, table football, table tennis, Lego corner, little girls kitchen area and little boys workshop area plus Playstation, games-machines with a variety of games. Outside there is large paddock for ball games and children can have fun in the play area next to which there is a small picnic area. There is a shared utility room outside with washer and dryer, plus a well stocked fridge/freezer should you need provisions. Pub 300 yards.
