Only 5 minutes away from Bowness Bay, on the shores of Lake Windermere (see photo on right), these apartments are ideal for couples and families alike. For holiday necessities, refreshments, or meals out, there are a choice of shops, pubs and restaurants in the centre of the village, a 2-minute walk away. Whether you want to tour the expanse of the lakes or enjoy the attractions of the immediate vicinity, there is much here to occupy your time. The World of Beatrix Potter and Windermere Steamboat Museum, which displays SL Dolly of 1850, the oldest mechanically-powered boat in the world, are both nearby. St Martin's Church, a 15th-century parish church built on a site that has been used for Christian worship for at least 1,000 years. Enjoy walking, climbing, biking, sailing, watersports, golf, 3 miles, and horse riding (Lakeland Equestrian caters for all abilities, 1 mile). Ambleside 7 miles. However you choose to see the sights, by land or on water, this area's scenery really is something special. A central base from which to explore all the attractions of the lakes, guests here really can enjoy the best that this area has to offer.
