This non-smoking guest house is centrally located in a quiet residential area of Reykjavik, within easy walking distance of the local attractions.

Opened in June 2004, the 10-bedroom guest house offers modern conveniences, including Wi-Fi internet access, free of charge, within comfortable rooms, with contemporary decoration. During the day you can easily walk into the city centre and explore the sights, alternatively you can venture further afield with the Fly Bus, situated just 500 metres from the guest house. To relax, you can enjoy the garden and terrace, overlooking the historic city, or you can simply unwind in the comfort of your bedroom. The house was originally built in 1944 as a family home for Sigurvin Einarsson and his wife Jorina G. Jonsdottir; the grandparents of the guesthouse?s current owner. The house was completely renovated before its opening as a guesthouse in June 2004 and the garden was also extensively remodelled. Alba Guesthouse now offers 10 rooms with shared facilities, including 3 family rooms that can accommodate up to 5 people.

By car: From Keflavik International Airport: - from the airport, take the main road to Reykjavík, Reykjanesbraut (nr 41) - Stay on Reykjanesbraut and continue in the direction of Hafnarfjörður - Leave Reykjnesbraut when it takes a turn to the right, instead keep on going straight through Hafnarfjörður - Turn right into Hafnarfjarðarvegur and follow it through Garðabær and Kópavogur where Hafnarfjarðarvegur becomes Kringlumyrabraut - Turn left into Miklabraut - Turn left into Langahlíð - Take the fourth exit off the roundabout into Eskihlið - Guesthouse Alba is at the end of the road on your right hand side Flybus information from Keflavik International Airport: The Flybus offers a very convenient transportation service from Keflavik International Airport to and from BSI bus terminal. It operates in connection with all arriving flights. You will find it immediately on your right when you leave the airport building. The Flybus takes passengers to the bus terminal in Reykjavík. From there it only takes about 5 minutes in a taxi. Taxi information from Keflavik International Airport: Taxis are available right outside the airport building.
