The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the city centre, a 10 minute walk from the station and within walking distance of York Racecourse. Local buses to the city centre pass the Hotel every 10 minutes. By car: From the A59: - The A59 comes straight into York and becomes the Poppleton Road. - Travel along this road past the new housing development on your left until you come to a set of traffic lights. - You will also see The Fox pub on your left. Travel straight on ? the road now becomes Holgate Road. - Bishops Hotel is 250 metres up the hill on the right hand side. From the North: - Coming via the A1, exit at junction 47 onto the A59 and follow the directions "from the A59" outlined above. From the South: - From the M1, head around Leeds and join the A1 just south of York. - Exit the A1M at Junction 45 onto the A64. - Exit the A64 via the A1237 York bypass. - Follow this road until you come to the York ?
