By car: Although there are many routes into York, we recommend the following: On reaching the York Outer Ring Road, the a64 & a1237, take the shortest route to the a1036 (York West) junction. This is Tadcaster Road. Follow a1036 straight on, past York Racecourse which will be on your right, to the city wall (Micklegate Bar). Turn right at traffic lights, into Nunnery Lane, and keep the City Walls on your left until you come to the Skeldergate Bridge. Just before the bridge turn left into Skeldergate, and then immediately left onto Cromwell Road. The entrance to the hotel car park is second on the right (approx 100 yards), on the brow of the hill. By Train: We are situated approximately half a mile away from the railway station, a 10 minute walk or a short taxi ride. A taxi rank is located at the station for your convenience. |
